It’s been a while……health probs, work and facebook got in the way LOL
October half term this week, so Jack is off school…….crafting opportunities may be thin on the ground. That said I need to make a card for Jack to take to a birthday party this afternoon and another to take to my nephews on Sunday!
Best get into craft mode and wake my brain up.

Hi to you all……from a very tired Emma……we were up most of the night with Jack who has an upset tum and at this moment is watching kids tv from the sofa with his duvet and favorite teddy bears!
On the 23rd October this year it will be 10 years since Ste and I started dating……so on Sunday, while my boys were watching Liverpool on the TV, I went out to my craft room to make a card for him.
The layout is from this weeks Sketch Challenge group over on paper craft planet and I used some of the new papers I got out of the Artymiss website sale……I just can’t resist a bargain!
And this 2nd card is also linked to Paper craft planet……this time from last nights SOL challenge again hosted by the lovely Karin……and again using new papers, from the QVC outlet shop at Birchwood, where I couldn’t help but spend a few spare pennies LOL These are from Laura Ashley and are just to die for as far as quality goes. This is my 1st Christmas card of the year….I will just need to make a box to send it in. The pointsettia is off an old garland we no longer use which just happened to fall off into my craft stash LOL The stamped greeting is a stamp from a Stampin Up set I have just brought on ebay…….I am totally hooked on all their products!!!!!
Right, Jack is starting to feel hungry…..always a good sign, so off to sort us both out I think. Take care and happy crafting, love Emma xxx
Last nights SOL challenge set by Karin!

Good morning to you all! Bit grey and dreary here today but never mind lots to do to keep me busy!
Last night was the scrap online challenge and Karin came up with a great project for us to make. 
A folder for us to store our stamped images in! This is mine although I admit I must have gone a bit wrong making the little folders as both Karins and Helens didn’t stick out at the sides LOL This opens up to reveal 6 spaces to pop our stamped images in until we are ready to use them…….a great idea as I always think when I grab a stamp and do 1 image that I should be doing a few more for next time!!!

I have also made another card this week….this one is for my mum for her birthday on the 26th
. She is going away on Monday for a week so this card needed to be ready for her to take away with her. As my mum only ever flies with hand luggage these days I made the card as an A6 size and not to many layers/decorations to keep the weight down as well!
Well I am off for now……housework and ironing to do this morning so I can rest this afternoon before working tonight!

Good morning…….yet another day of this lovely Indian Summer we are having here in the UK!
Well Thursday night is SOL (scrap online) night over on PCP, so yesterday lunchtime I popped on to see what Iwould be needing only to find out that Karin wasn’t going to be able to host it……so I got my thinking cap on and threw together a challenge for the other ladies……when I say threw together, I was still editing pictures and putting my embellishments on my sample card while Helen and Kathi were making their cards LOL
Because of time constraints i used the bottom layer of a decoupage sheet as my image and all the papers are from my stash od scrapbooking papers!
With hindsight, I should have incourporated some ribbon somewhere……but hindsight is an amazing thing! This is just going in my stash of blank cards…..ready for when it is needed!
Oh well, shopping is done and as it is Friday I will be in work tonight and tomorrow night. Then on Sunday afternoon we are off to that Charity football match……we got our VIP passes last night and the person who got us these text me later to say smart casual dress. I text back to check that Jack could wear his football kit and was told yes………and………would Jack like to walk out on the pitch with the teams at the start of the match!!!!!! To say that he is on cloud nine is a bit of an understatement…….I don’t imagine he will want to sleep over the next couple of nights!!!!!!
Right I am off to make a brew and then tidy up before having a rest until Jack gets home from school!

A different craft project!

Hi to you all from a lovely sunny Cheshire…….better not say it too loudly, don’t want to frighten the sun away!
Over on PCP the Clear&Simple stamps group are running a “cover it” themed project……taking us back to our school days of covering our books!
Well, as it happens, we are going to a charity football match on Sunday…….one of Ste’s cousins is playing and there are going to be some former Liverpool stars there as well. Anyone who knows my Jack, knows that a) he is football crazy and b) he worships Liverpool Football Club…….his bedroom is a shrine to all things Liverpool LOL
So anyway, Jack needs an autograph book for this special day so I have come up with this for him. The book was just a plain cheap hardback book from Wilkinsons this morning, and with a bit of red card, ribbon, a wooden football bead and the leftover wall stickers from when we decorated Jacks room…….this is what I have come up with!
Jack already had the pen so I decided to come up with a way of attaching the pen so it hopefully doesn’t get lost. The page marker was made with more of the same ribbon with a bead…..which I think I got in a set of embellishments from Studio.
Oh well, off to have some lunch……in the garden I think!

My first card made entirely in my new room!

Good morning……..well good from the point that it is Monday and Jack is in school, the weather is lousy though!!!!
Well yesterday I said to Ste, expecting him to say NO to me, can I go and make a card for your mum’s birthday……..he said ok so off I went to play in my craft room……..and here is what I came up with!
While I have been moving out to my new room I have found all sorts of bits I had forgotten about. I got this stamp, not that long ago from xelacrafts and this is the first time I have used it on a card…….I think anyway LOL The stripped paper I have used for the background is part of a 12 x 12 paper and I got my colour inspiration from this. The gems and skeleton leaves just screamed at me to go with this image!
Oh well, I need to nip to the shops and then I have a bit of tidying to do……..hopefully I will get another play in my room later!

Hi all! Thanks so much for the comments on my last blog entry! Well, I have finally found time to make a card thanks to the ScrapOnline group on PCP……Thursday night is live challenge night and following Karins instructions this is what I came up with!
This card is for my friends daughter, who was 14 yesterday……..I love this stamp and although I did think it was a bit big for this size of card I am pleased with the end result.
Oh well…..I was in work until 6 this morning, so I am off for a shower and then Ste wants to go food shopping……talk about a busmans holiday LOL
I have made more cards while I was away from blogging and I hope to start putting them on now while Jack is in school!

Long time, no blog! I am not going into the reasons for my absense from blogland………far too complicated and boring LOL
Since I last posted, my hubby has been out of work (builing industry)……damn the recession…….but he gave himself and his Dad a project to do at our house. He has been very busy converting our brick shed in our garden from general storage to……..wait for it……….(I do have to shout the following i’m afraid!) A BRAND NEW CRAFT ROOM FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!
As you can see in this picture when we satrted we had 3 sheds……..the middle and the large end one have been knocked through, the right hand door has been half bricked up and a window put in. It has all been plasterboarded, painted, carpeted and I have finally moved all my craft stuff in!
I still need to get my new shelves put up and I am having a piece of worktop put in under the little window for my pc…….but it is my little space to lock myself away from the world!
Now Jack is back at school, I am hoping to get some time in there to sort all my bits out and get started on making some cards!
Well, day one at school is nearly over so off I go to get sorted……just time for a quick cup of tea I think.

Good morning! This is just a quick one as we are up to our eyes in getting ready for Jack’s 6th birthday on Sunday!
As you all know I love doing challenges LOL and thanks to PaperCraftPlanet and the Scrap Online group there is a new blog. On PCP every Thursday we have a live challenge and from now on all the instructions are going onto the blog on a Friday, for those who can’t make the Live one! As a bonus they are also looking for people to host more challenges at other times during the week……check out the blog here for instructions on how to take part and also on a Friday to see what everyone has been up to!!!!!
SOL Card!

Hello! Last night the Scrap Online group on PCP had another live challenge hosted yet again by Karin. We were given our list of supplies needed and, as a little twist, we were also told to link it to another challenge running at the mo!
So I decided to go with the Saturday Challenge for which the theme was Flowers. For this card I have used a little bit of this and that from my stash, there is a little bit of Sampin’ Up papers, cards from QVC, the stamp is from Xelacrafts and coloured using my watercolour pencils and to finish the stamped image off I added a self adheshive pearl for the fastening to the little girls top! The flowers, rafia ribbon and peel offs are out of my craft stash.
Oh well, best go and get Jack from school…..then it is off to bed for me, work tonight and tomorrow then off next weekend for Jacks birthday!!!!!
